Producer/Director/Educator, Katherine Sweetman, is a filmmaker and media instructor who has been producing and directing documentary films for over 10 years. Her work has been distributed in major film festivals throughout the world including Rencontres Internationales and broadcast on major TV outlets including Cox, Brighthouse Networks, and Time Warner. Since 2007, she has been teaching courses on visual culture and media at colleges and universities including The University of California, San Diego; San Diego State University; California State University, San Marcos. From 2009-2014 she directed and produced 3D and 4k content for film and television distribution at Passmore Lab, where she directed the award wining series, Road to the Cage 3D, a tell-all sports documentary series on amateur cage fighting and Extreme Culture 3D, a documentary series on extraordinary performers — sword swallowers, mechanical artists, punk rock musicians etc.

Katherine has an MFA in Visual Art from the University of California San Diego, a BA in Arts and Technology from California State University San Marcos, a certificate from the New School University New York, and she is currently pursing her second MFA in Film Production at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California.
