I am not a painter, but I created these tangible representations of “famous” YouTube video bloggers and interacted with them for a series of projects collectively titled "Video Blogging for Video Bloggers".

I deeply admire the dedication, courage, and interesting performances of these six well-known video bloggers. For this piece, I filmed myself creating portraits of the bloggers, and I posted my video back to YouTube as a response-video to that blogger. I have created this painting of them--a physical, tangible manifestation of them. Which seems like a strange permanent gesture in the land of YouTube.

In this work I seek to make a connection with these particular, six bloggers on a strange and tangible level. By creating these paintings, I am both perpetuating the fame of these bloggers and trying to engage with them in a new way.
